Posit.cloud
We use Posit.cloud for all the computing on the course. Posit.cloud is an online cloud platform for running the R statistical software within the RStudio IDE (integrated development environment) directly in your web browser. This means we avoid having you install R and RStudio on your own laptops and supporting those installations.
You are most welcome to install R and RStudio on your own machine: it’s not difficult but Mona and I do not have time to help you troubleshoot problems with that installation.
At the start of the course you will receive an invitation to the Dyr og Data workspace on our Posit.cloud. You will be invited using the email listed in the Classlist page in Brightspace. For most of you this is currently of the form 2026xxxxx@post.au.dk (where the xs are different numbers).
It is important that you create your Posit.cloud account using this email address you use on Brightspace and which is listed in the Classlist page in Brightspace, otherwise the invitation to the course workspace will not work.
